Terms

Who sells Tendling, what your license lets you do, refunds, updates, and what to know about Close mode, in plain language.

Last updated 2026-10-03

These terms are written in plain language on purpose. They cover buying Tendling and using it. Your rights as a consumer under the law of your country always apply on top of them.

Who sells Tendling

Tendling is made by , , Company ID (IČO) (“we”), who grants you the license below.

The purchase itself is made through Lemon Squeezy, which resells Tendling as the merchant of record. That means Lemon Squeezy is the seller in your purchase: it takes the payment, charges the right tax, issues your receipt and processes refunds. Lemon Squeezy’s terms of sale apply to the payment as well.

Your license

When you buy Tendling, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it. In practice:

  • you may install and use Tendling on all of your own Macs, for personal use or for your work;
  • the license is for you as one person; please don’t share it, resell it, or pass on the download or the disk image to others;
  • you may not redistribute Tendling, publish its disk image, or remove its copyright notices;
  • you may not reverse engineer it, except where the law lets you anyway.

Tendling, its companions, art and sounds remain ours or our licensors’. You buy a license to use it, not the copyright.

Price and taxes

Tendling costs $5 (US dollars), once. It is not a subscription. Depending on where you live, Lemon Squeezy may add VAT or sales tax at checkout, and you see the final price before you pay.

Delivery

Right after payment, Lemon Squeezy sends you a receipt email with a link to download Tendling. You can always find the link again from that receipt. If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam folder or write to us.

Refunds

If Tendling isn’t right for you, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Reply to your receipt email, or write to with the email address you used to buy. Lemon Squeezy returns the money to your original payment method. After a refund, please delete Tendling from your Macs.

Right of withdrawal in the EU

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content delivered right away, that right ends once the download starts, provided you agreed to immediate delivery and acknowledged this at checkout. You do that when you buy Tendling.

Our 14-day refund above still applies anyway, voluntarily, so in practice you lose nothing.

Updates

All 1.x updates are included in the price. A future major version (2.0 and later) may be a paid upgrade; if it is, the version you bought keeps working. Some features described on this site are marked as planned or in testing; we don’t promise a date for them.

Close mode and your work

In Close mode, which is still in testing, your companion can close a distracting browser tab or app window. It does so only in the apps you allow, and you can turn it off at any time. Please understand how it works:

  • For an app window, it presses the window’s own close button, as you would. Most apps then ask “Save changes?” if there is unsaved work. An app that doesn’t ask before closing may lose what you typed but didn’t save.
  • It never closes a browser tab while you’re typing in it, a pinned tab, a private window or a whole browser window. A form you filled in and then left can’t be detected, though.
  • Undo brings the tab or window back: from the bubble, from the menu or with ⌃⌥⌘Z, for up to 30 minutes. It restores the address or the document, not a page’s history, scroll position or unsaved form input.
  • When your companion isn’t sure what’s in front, it doesn’t close anything.

You decide which apps it may act in. Keep Close mode off for apps where you keep unsaved work that the app doesn’t protect.

Your data

Tendling keeps your data on your Mac. What it stores and what is never collected is in our privacy policy.

Warranty

We work hard to make Tendling reliable, but it is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise that it will be free of bugs, that it will work with every app or browser, or that it will improve your focus or productivity. If something doesn’t work, tell us, and we’ll try to fix it. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including rights for defective digital content, are not affected.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything related to Tendling is limited to the price you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profits or lost data. This doesn’t limit liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for intent, gross negligence, or harm to life or health.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there. Consumers in the Czech Republic can also turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce) for out-of-court dispute resolution.

Changes

We may update these terms, for example when the way Tendling is sold changes. The version that applied when you bought Tendling still governs that purchase.
